I've been noticing at the bottom where it shows how many people have been here in the last 24 hours. The list is really growing. It used to be just a few. Now the list seems big everyday!!! Awesome. I just don't get why we just seem to be moving down the ranking list instead of up. But who decided where you rank on the top catfishing sites??

Wish I had an answer foir you but no idea, this is one of the 3 I visit everyday, got others but they aren't in my top 3.

Now, I'm no expert or anything.....but I always thought that those rankings are based on hits to a site. What I'm saying is if someone does a search for Catishing sites, they then click on links. If people have already checked out the site or joined, they would not be doing a search for it necessarily. I know most of us including myself have most likely saved the link in our favorites section. At least that's the thought I had about it.......I may be wrong and prob am  |

That is correct from the way I understand it..If everyone went there and clicks on it each time it will move it up in the ranking order. I go there and do it each time.

I just don't get why we just seem to be moving down the ranking list instead of up. But who decided where you rank on the top catfishing sites?? top 100 atfish ranking. Istarted collecting top 100 fishing sites about 5 years ago. I was confused at first till i watched and checked each day on the stats for the top100 sites! the top100 cat site list hits out from their site to our ut mot f our clicks come each day from our own members! Every 24 hours the link resets to allow our first click to register on the top 100 site. so if 10 members come on in 24 hours 10 regiter so the rating goes up and down depending on how many are listed. It also depends on how many the other sites get. Some of the top 100 sites like Big Fish top 100 not only register the clicks in from our site but also shows the clicks out fro their site. We have about 15 top 100 sites on our link page and get a fe extra people clicking in everyday from the top 100 sites. We have stayed in the top 20 on both the walleye and the catfish site since we put them up so its a plus for us! I sill suggest we get listed with the Big Fish top 100 since they have over 500 listings and we will probaby stay in the top 150 of that site all the time. Links never hurt! |
