Yep, It's ready! Woooo Hoooo!!!!! This one is Garlic Fried Chicken. I just had ta do it. When I was a kid, we got chicken a lot on our way out to the lake for the weekend. I would always stash some in my napkin to take down with me catfishing at night because I didn't want to use the squiggly worms or the stinky stuff the fellas were using. Then they were the ones going... .... when I was the one getting the bites. So I just had to put that into one of my soap baits. Attachments:

Good night all!

Bobber, I use those flat rate shipping boxes a LOT mailing out my soaps/skin creams/candles, etc. I never knew there was a limit, though as to how much weight you could put in them. They always told me it was whatever you could fit in the box, but maybe it has changed. They tell me that I save about $2 per order by using those boxes! Thanks for the suggestion, though.
I picked up one of those boxes to see how many bars I could fit into one of them. They will hold - {two bars of the Garlic Fried Chicken and two bars of the White Fudge} or {4 bars of the White Fudge}, with room left on the side for something else or packing, but the Garlic Fried Chicken is just a hair too tall to fit 4 of just them in a box. I turned them every which way but just couldn't do it, can't get more than two of them in it. Course, if a customer wants 3 or 4 bars of just that 'flavor', I could always 'slice' the top off of each one and just put it in the side its package - it is going to be cut up anyway and it wouldn't hurt it at all. I am also checking shipping charges for one bar in a bubble wrap envelope and for two bars, because most people will only want one or two to try. But I have to have the zip codes of where they are going to find out those charges, it can really vary.
I got spoiled when my shop was next door to the post office. When someone sent me an order, I just stepped next door with their order, set it on the scale, punched in their zip code, their shipping rate came up, then I stepped back over to my shop and emailed them the total. It was sooo nice! I have a postal scale now, but I will have to look up the rate online after I weigh each package, to find the shipping cost.
Hmmm..... just had an idea, Bobber, do you know if they still have those $4.95 shipping envelopes? If so, I am betting I could fit up to 4 bars in that, wrapped in bubble paper. That next size up, flat rate box is going to be great for wholesale orders!!
I will email all of you that asked here in just a few minutes. Thanks again!!

That 4 pound only applies on international and is written on the box! Also if you need 4 by 6 2 mil.zip bags quick Wal Mart has them for $2.00 a 100 but the bag barn sells them cheaper by the 1000! The 4 mil. are nicer and close better but are about a penny to 2 cents more!

Bobber, we actually have a wholesale supplier here in out town for some of those bags and they had the ones I needed. But yes, I have to get them by the 1000. Which is OK because I use that size a lot. And anything they don't have, I have another supplier for that kind of stuff that I have used for a long time (have to order & pay shipping, though). It usually gets here in 3 to 7 days, usually 3-4. But thanks for the tip! Oh, yes, as far as the mil goes. .... not sure what this one is, will have to look now that you mentioned it, but I am really conscious about what goes back into our Earth, oceans, etc, so I use the least packaging possible that is still going to give a quality product. I am also checking into an optional, reusable/refillable, more sturdy container, such as an over-sized soap container or rubbermaid or something. Any suggestions there?

Couple suggestions depending how soft the catfish soap is! Iwas thinking of a small cylinder plastic like a mailing cylinder but here is the best part have a cap on both ends but one end the cap is inside and taht end as you push the cap inward the soap comes out the other end! You could have a cake of the soap and press the lets say one inch plastic cylinder into the soap and i would fill it up! Then just put the caps in and you ae set. A sticker on the outside with directions. A printed plastic bag would be cheaper since you would need no paper inside and could go with a smaller bag then! I will send you our ceramic sinker bag to give you a idea! Here is a link to a tube company. I have lots of contacts from the past like Visa Pack from Misouri whick makes all kinds even squeeze tubes! Here is a link to some of the mailing tubes! +++ www.cleartecpackaging.com/
