I diced up some sweet taters, put em in the bottom of the crockpot, thin sliced onions on top of that and some mushrooms. Bit of garlic powder and poultry seasoning. Then put two boneless loin pork chops on top of that. Haven't tried this before, but will see how it turns out, sounded kinda good to me. Gonna have it with broccoli. I'll let ya'll know if I survive, LOL.

That sounds wonderful. I LOVE mushrooms. We had Burger King. We have a tradition. When we go fishing at our usual lake, there is a Burger King on the way home. So we stop and get whoppers for supper and eat them on the way home. It has been so long since we have got to go fishing, I said that was the best whopper I've had in a long time.

I haven't had a whopper in years, mostly because the Burger Kings up here where I am make lousy ones. The Burger Kings in the valley do a much better job with them.
dsmith, the dinner turned out good, but I need to make some adjustments on the amounts of seasoning I used, too much of one, not enough of the other. Also, I added some apple juice cause I had cut off too much of the fat on the chops and it needed just a bit more liquid. That gave it all a good flavor too.

Tonight I'm just having a grilled cheese sandwich, make with colby/jack cheese and mozzarella, and then some parmesan sprinkled on the outside before I cook it. Cheese heaven, LOL.

I don't have them often, my Wife worked for Burger King Corporation for 27 years and was then downsized out, so she isn't fond of our money going their way. we do pick up BK on the way to the Lake sometimes, there aren't many options in Greenfield Ohio. Dave

Up here where I am, the best place to get a burger is a local, Pete's, after that it would be Jack in the Box.

Tonight for my midnite snack I hadda smoked turkey leg. And carved it up with a genuine Winchester bait knife. It was firstest knife I came across. But that serrated blade sawed right thru them tendon things on that leg.

Had a big Family get together today for Dad's Birthday, it's also Susan and I's Anniversary, and we Blessed the Babies in Church this morning (Official naming and Blessing) so we invited everyone back to the house and since it's close to St. Patty's day we did Corned Beef and cabbage with boiled taters, carrots and Rutabegga, followed by Birthday cake. It was a wonderful day and one of my favorite meals also. Dave
